This is a labor-intensive, physical position, working in the cold. Horse Care: Ensure that horses are secured, watered, and fed after each carriage ride.
Grounds Maintenance: Keep the area clean by removing manure and debris to maintain a safe and pleasant environment for guests.
Daily Horse Care: Groom, clean hooves, monitor feeding patterns, and report any concerns to the manager. Ensure the horses are in top condition for each day.
Horse Health and Safety: Monitor that all horses are in good health at all times. All horses should be fed, groomed, and trained according to management’s schedule. If necessary, assist in providing basic medical care, such as leg wraps and medication. Always monitor horse behavior and report any concerns to your supervisor IMMEDIATELY.
