Charitable Program
Thank you for your interest in Santa’s Wonderland’s charitable services program called “Heart Light”.
Since our beginnings, Santa’s Wonderland has been devoted to helping those who can’t help themselves, and we have made some ongoing commitments to three main “franchise charities” that we continue to financially support each and every season. On a national scale, we support Texas A&M’s chapter of “Project Sunshine” by bringing several hundred severely handicapped and challenged children and their one-on-one Aggie sponsors out for two wonderful nights of Christmas fun, food and joy at no cost to their organization. Additionally, and on a local scale we proudly support the wonderful kids and staff at the Still Creek Ranch as well as a few non-profit organizations that promote humane treatment and relocation for mistreated and abandoned dogs and cats.
As you might imagine, we have many charity requests each and every season from so many worthy non-profit organizations. And although we strive to lend a helping hand to as many non-profits as possible, like any other business there are only so many requests that we can financially accommodate each season.
Therefore, we generally give priority consideration to charity applications based first upon financial hardship factors, and secondarily upon other important needs factors. It is our sincere wish that our new “Heart Light” program will help all of us to efficiently and fairly serve and bring joy to as many worthy and deserving recipients as possible each season. Here’s how the new program works.
- ALL charitable requests must be submitted via our ONLINE APPLICATION process. Sorry, but there are NO exceptions. Please do not call or email with a request, as you will be cordially referred back to our web site.
- All charitable requests will be fairly reviewed by a committee and all decisions are final. Results of applications are communicated as promptly as possible but generally take 2 to 3 weeks. If we are not able to accommodate your group this season, please try again next season.
- If you are a group, such as; a church group, school group, boys’ or girls’ scouting group, civic organization, business group, local club, etc. you will find your best opportunity to purchase discounted tickets by visiting our GROUP DISCOUNTS web page on this web site, or simply CLICK HERE.
- For 2011 we will begin accepting applications on October 1st, 2011, and the last day we can accept requests is the day before the park opens November 17th, 2011. Sorry, but we cannot handle requests after our season starts. The earlier you can submit your request, the better likelihood of your group being approved before we reach our allotted seasonal quotas.
